The International Mass Fatalities Center, a 501(c) 3, non-profit organization, offers the only comprehensive program that prepares and supports communities, businesses, industry, government, and disaster response agencies worldwide.
The Center provides disaster experienced instructors on-site and via the Internet to ensure the appropriate care of the fatalities while caring for the emotional and physical needs of survivors, workers and their families in the aftermath of a disaster.
In partnership with the University of Minnesota Center for Public Health Preparedness partners, the International Mass Fatalities Center is pleased to provide a free online educational course on mass fatalities response.
Mass Fatalities definition:
“A mass fatalities incident is any disaster that causes loss of life and human suffering that cannot be met through usual individual and community resources.”
In most metropolitan areas as few as 25 deaths can result in a mass fatalities incident.
